The Village of Larchmont provides drinking water to its residents and property owners. This service is performed by the Larchmont Water Department with assistance by the Larchmont Department of Public Works. The water department is responsible for the distribution of water throughout the Village, maintenance of the fire hydrants, water mains and valves.
The Village purchases water from New York City, which is then treated by Westchester Joint Water Works. The water rates are established and adjusted periodically to reflect the cost of operations and updates to New York City’s rates and treatment costs. Water meters are read remotely and billed quarterly. If you receive your bill and your water bill is higher than normal, read our water saving tips. Many high water bill complaints are due to lawn sprinkler systems, so checking for leaks or broken heads is a good place to start!
Quarterly bills are mailed to users on March 01, June 01, September 01, and December 01, of each year and are due no later than the 15th of the following month. Residents can choose to pay their water bills online, or in person at Village Hall.

Annual Water Quality Reports (AWQR)
Larchmont Water department regularly tests and inspects the quality of water under the direction of the Westchester County Department of Health. Water quality reports are published annually based on these tests and inspections.
