The Village of Larchmont allows for any storefront business to apply for a permit to use the sidewalk or parking lane directly in front of their establishment for certain commercial activities.
Previously, this law was known as the Sidewalk Café permit, which was restricted to food service establishments for outdoor dining. In June 2020 as a response to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Village Board of Trustees approved an expansion to the program to include retail businesses and the display of wares to relieve all storefront businesses from the restrictions on indoor activities.
