The Larchmont Environmental Committee is proud to present the “Green Screen Film Festival,” with a total of eight films shown from March 3-5 and March 10-12 in local venues.

The Village of Larchmont’s recreation season will be heating up shortly. Keep an eye on our website for the 2012 Recreation flyer and more details.

Is your child planning to attend Flint Park Day Camp this year? Then be sure to come to our Flint Park Day Camp Registraton Days – March 23 and March 24 – at the Flint Park Playhouse. The hours on March 23 will be from 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM, and on March 24 will be from 11:00 AM to Noon.

Village Election – March 20, 2012

All registered voters in the Village of Larchmont are reminded that the Village will hold its annual election on March 20, 2012. This year, the offices to be filled are Mayor and two Trustees, for two-year terms each. Voting will take place at the Larchmont Village Center, 119 Larchmont Avenue (behind the Library), from 6:00 AM to 9:00 PM.

Please remember that sidewalks in the Village must be cleared within 24 hours of a snow storm. We appreciate your cooperation in abiding by this law so that pedestrians and passersby can walk safely to their destinations.

Anti-Idling Law

The Village Board has an anti-idling law. When the ambient temperature exceeds 40 degrees Farenheit, motor vehicle engines, other than legally authorized emergency services vehicles, may not idle longer than three minutes while parking. Buses may not idle while parking, standing or stopping. Here are some of the reasons for this law:
