Architectural Review Board

The Architectural Review Board (ARB) is a five-member board, comprised of Village residents appointed by the Board of Trustees who serve at a volunteer capacity for three-year terms. The ARB is responsible for reviewing all proposed exterior improvements and alterations in the Village, both residential and commercial. Its mission is to preserve and promote the character and appearance of the Village. In the course of its review, it seeks to encourage attractive and appropriate exterior building design schemes and to relate such design and appearance to the sites and surrounding structures. 

The ARB has three types of applications: General ARB review (for most projects), Solar Panel review, and Awning/Signage review. Please visit the Building Department for an application to be heard before the Board.

• Days: Typically, the last Wednesday of each month, except August
• Time: 7:00 PM
• Location: Courtroom, Village Hall, 120 Larchmont Avenue, Larchmont, NY 10538

Application Requirements

• Completed application form (including all documentation listed in the accompanying checklist)
• Payment for the appropriate fee
• Code Compliance Worksheet

• Email all documentation in electronic pdf format to architecture@larchmontny.gov.
• Hard copies:
  
  • For Solar or Sign/Awning applications: Submit three (3) hard copies of the complete application to the Building Department.
  • For all other ARB applications: Submit one (1) hard copies of the complete application to the Building Department.
