Our mission as a fire department is to protect and serve our community with unwavering dedication and professionalism. We strive to prevent and minimize loss of life and property through comprehensive fire prevention and education programs, as well as prompt and efficient emergency response to all types of emergencies. Our highly trained and skilled firefighters work tirelessly to ensure the safety and well-being of our community, while maintaining the highest standards of integrity, compassion, and respect. The Village of Larchmont Fire Department responds to a variety of emergencies totaling approximately 1000 calls of service per year.

Career Firefighters are hired off of the Westchester County Civil Service List and attend a NYS Fire Academy totaling over 400 hours of initial training. Afterwards they become NYS EMTs and continue to perform on the job training and conduct fire inspections.
