The Village of Larchmont Fire Department responds to a variety of emergencies totaling approximately 1000 calls of service per year.Career Firefighters are hired off of the Westchester County Civil Service List and attend a NYS Fire Academy totaling over 400 hours of initial training. Afterwards they become NYS EMTs and continue to perform on the job training and conduct fire inspections.
