Friends of the Family Larchmont Friends of the Family is a local not-for-profit volunteer organization that has been actively and quietly helping families in our community for 20 years. Established by compassionate residents, the group offers practical and financial support to those who have been faced with a medical crisis or loss.

Larchmont Historical Society The Larchmont Historical Society was chartered in 1981 as a not-for-profit educational corporation by the New York State Board of Regents to discover, preserve and disseminate information concerning the natural, social and civic history of Larchmont and to promote the preservation of historical sites and structures.

Larchmont Mamaroneck Hunger Task Force Larchmont Mamaroneck Hunger Task Force (aka: “The Food Pantry”) is an all-volunteer coalition of community organizations, houses of worship, and concerned citizens dedicated to assisting local families who need food. The Food Pantry runs a food pantry that distributes a nutritional bag of groceries providing four days of meals, twice a month.

Manor Park Society Larchmont Manor Park is privately owned and maintained. The Larchmont Manor Park Society is overseen by a board of trustees living in Map 610 who are elected by the residents living within that zone. Their goal is to preserve the society and the park for future generations. Larchmont Manor Park Society the provides many services to its community, including a seasonal bathing beach for Larchmont residents, the offering of programs to the children of the community and providing a nature preserve for native plants and animals.

Newcomers Club For 70 years, the Larchmont Newcomers Club has been welcoming residents to the Sound Shore by providing an array of social events that get you out and into the community so you can have rewarding experiences while meeting new people.

Schools Larchmont residents are served by the Mamaroneck Union Free School District. Larchmont schoolchildren come up through Chatsworth Avenue Elementary School in Larchmont, and then join schoolchildren from the Town of Mamaroneck and most of the Village of Mamaroneck through Hommocks Middle School and Mamaroneck High School both located along Boston Post Road in the Town of Mamaroneck.

Senior Center The Senior Center operates under the auspices of the Town of Mamaroneck Community Services Office. The Center, located at 1288 Boston Post Road, is completely accessible with handicapped restroom facilities and ample parking. The Center is open Monday through Friday year‐round. Curb‐to‐curb round trip transportation is available to residents of the Town of Mamaroneck, Village of Mamaroneck and Village of Larchmont on the Senior Bus. Transportation is also available from the Larchmont Library when requested.

Sheldrake Environmental Center The Sheldrake Environmental Center is a 60-acre oasis of land and water that provides a sanctuary for wildlife and people.

Town of Mamaroneck Recreation Department The Recreation Department administers the Town’s various recreation programs and services for the residents of the Unincorporated Town of Mamaroneck, the Village of Mamaroneck, and the Village of Larchmont. They are also responsible for the associated recreation facilities, including the Hommocks Park Ice Rink, Hommocks Outdoor Swimming Pool Complex, Memorial Park, and the Carpino-Steffens Fields. Some leisure activities, like the aquatic programs at the Hommocks Pool, are available year-round, while others are offered seasonally.
